The reason why almost all terrorism has been dominated by islamic terrorism post 1980s is because of the fact that west encouraged political islam during the cold war against “Godless” soviets. Insurgencies and terrorism arise when the population of a specefi region is denied basic amenities . such regions are found throught out Asia and Africa due to European imperialism in the past.and since Islam is a dominant religion in africa and asia,it is only natural that an underdeveloped region with islam as majoritarian religion will be present( as in afghanistan and chechnya).and the population of such regions will gladly accept an Idealogy which will offer them “salvation”. but during 1980s western block of the cold war political islam and wahabism idealogies were used as weapons against soviets by inciting peoples of such regions against the soviets( as in afghanistan). What we face today is the result of those actions in the past( as the western intelligence agencies would know).

I have done a school project on the Koran. I know it is not a peaceful religion. One of the five pillars of Allah states that all followers should either convert his fellow man or kill him. For a government to appeal to only one religion can not be justified in any way. I’m am not being bias. I’m a christian but I wouldn’t want the government to enforce that belief upon everyone else. People will not believe in something just because you force them to.

Commissions are appointed by the ruling party and it has to
be independent. But what happens is that these commissions
submit report to satisfy the Government. We don’t believe it
since they are often biased. One classic example is the recent
Libheran commission report which had included a former Indian
Prime Minister’s name as an accused in the Babri Masjid demolition.
The highlight is that the commission had not even summoned and
enquired him about his role in that incident. So how can believe
such reports??

I agree with your comments that lost of an innocent life is a life and what happens where thousand of lives were lost we in west call it a genocide.

My understanding of the Gujaret massacre Commission was that it was an independent Commission and its finding were based on true and factual information and not on minorities vote bank.

I hope this clarifies the matter.

You din’t understand what I meant. The incidents happened in the U.S
post Sep 11 was quoted as an example, by me. Even if it is one or two
people killed, a life is a life. I clearly know that U.S and Britain are two
different countries. But unfortunately sometimes Britain don’t take decisions
independently on foreign policy and blindly follow the Americans. Don’t you
know that Indians are often targetted racially in Australia?
Don’t always project that majority of India are against the minority community.
The commision which was set up to probe the Gujarat incident has not done
its job properly and has reported to satisfy the minorities, which is all due to
minority vote bank politics. The court has also asked to probe the incident properly
in this regard.
